These were the words of the great poet, Hazhar Mukriyani, dedicated to a man who became the definitive voice and melody of an entire nation. Hasan Zirak was born on November 29, 1921, in the city of Bukan. He lived a life marked by displacement, poverty, and exile. From working in teahouses to wandering through the streets of Baghdad and Tehran, he constantly ran to earn a loaf of bread. Yet, wherever he went, his throat remained filled with the authentic melodies of Kurdistan. Though illiterate, Zirak was a genius capable of improvising lyrics and melodies in the blink of an eye. While many neighboring nations stole his melodies, his voice remained immortalized in the heart of history in pure Kurdish. His extraordinary vocal range and phenomenal memory left us a legacy of over 1,500 to 2,000 musical masterpieces. The end of this genius’s life was, once again, defined by loneliness and neglect. On June 26, 1972, at the young age of 50, he passed away from liver cancer in Bukan Hospital. According to his final wish, he was laid to rest at the foothills of Mount Naleshkina. Before leaving this world, Zirak bitterly said, "I die and bid farewell, going beneath the soil so that I may never see another Kurdish human being again." Little did he know that today, more than half a century later, he remains the unmatched nightingale of Kurdistan, and his voice still resonates in every home and street of this homeland 🪵🪵🪵 #fyp , #foryou , #trending , #viral ,#kurdistan
