Explosions were heard throughout the night in central Kyiv as Russia deployed about two dozen ballistic missiles — including the relatively new Zircon system — and 20 cruise missiles against the capital, according to figures from monitoring channels on the app Telegram. Nine of the fatalities occurred in Dnipro, including a young child and an emergency worker, officials said. Thirty-six people were also wounded in the city in eastern Ukraine.
