Just Google Lisbon Santo Antonio festival, it will get you a list of top places to check out. The celebration spills into almost every corner of the city, but these neighborhoods are at the heart of the action: Alfama: The birthplace of Saint Anthony. It is the most crowded, traditional, and energetic spot, with narrow alleys strung with colorful paper lanterns and lined with charcoal grills. Graça: Offers fantastic hilltop street parties with incredible views, particularly around Vila Berta. Mouraria: Another historic, multicultural neighborhood where you can find authentic Fado performances and food stalls. Bica: Known for street parties wrapping around the funicular.

Basically July and August are non stop fetes all the time. Just wander around, go with the flow, I wouldn't go out to early, eg don't start at 8pm it's too early, try bits of food everywhere, it will go on all night probably. Good opportunity to observe the traditions and practise your Portuguese 🥰

Enjoy! Everybody knows they are the most expensive sardines of the year, but they are just a demandatory part of the experience. Be ready for the crowds and lack of WC.

the best place for Santos Populares is Graça. That's where I go every year with my in-laws. It's got everything you would expect from the festival and the food and drinks always hit the spot 10/10 recommend
