@astragons: Let me make each point a little more clear here in the caption lolz 1. Their conversation in the train wasn't special by any means. It was just a normal threat. If you look deeper however you can see how different this situation evolved all based on a first meeting. I think if we make it clear what void archives wants it'll make a bit more sense. Void archives *wants* welt, he doesn't *need* him by any means, welt isn't a necessary part of his plan- he would only be a big help. He knows this yet still goes to great lengths in order to achieve welt's help. If we look at how welt viewed this threat and how serious he took it we can see that it was rather odd. Welt was confronted by a deal he wasn't allowed to refuse in order to protect joey, he likely throught this was his only option to play it without violence. Yet if you know welt you'd know he would try other options first before complying immediately. This time it was different because part of welt did indeed agree with void archives, void archives said that they are the same and he was definitely not far off- welt knew this and was intrigued. 2. Alien space shows us void archives and welt setting off for HSR. They are on a mission and decide spontaneously (courtesy of welt) to set off for the next target the sky ppl are on to. In this one void archives behavior is incredibly interesting to me because he immediately complied with welt's spontaneous plan to explore the universe for rhe greater good.. Just kidding we all know it's for selfish reasons, the only problem is that we still have no information to go on about what it is he wanted- so here's my proposal. He wanted to stick around near welt. It sounds ridiculous I know but you have to know that void archives has no place to call "home", he has no place on earth, if not, to continue his own journey so the natural response to such a situation would lead him to agree with welt and of course it is welt proposing this idea which is another bonus for void archives. Welt is after all one of the only people who are willing to believe in his humanity, in his own identity. 3. I just really love how close they are in this manga cover, it almost looks like a bl manga cover. 4. In the beta welt dialogue, welt mentions that VA departed from the express and that welt hopes that VA will find what hes looking for in his journey. I interpreted this as purely a positive comment about void archives going on his own journey to find his own identity and who he is outside of ottos influence. It is genuinely adorable how well they know eachother- and its not completely one sided from va, we see that welt understands va aswell. 5. HEAR ME OUT they are definitely gonna get matching splasharts and I know that because it is composed in a way it created the perfect opportunity to make welt in the backround of vas splashart. Honestly this is gonna be a missed opportunity if they DONT have matching splasharts. 6. Oh that voice recording was anything but platonic im sorry. The way he continued to repeat sentences like "Oh how I wish it was you" was not necessary... but that aside. This was VA his opportunity to reach out to welt for one of the first times and explain his intentions behind his plan so he sounded like a desperate but confident puppy just enough so you will hear him out, he's flattering welt in the same sentence where he explains how great they'd be together. 7. Void archives has a complex about being viewed as otto, we all know that much and the fact that welt- the same welt who first had mistaken the two for one another- said he can tell the two apart is what ultimately hit void archives close home. Va also used romantic poetry to get his point across, I mean how fucking romantic is the sentence "I should hate humanity yet I cannnot rebel against you" like holy Moses he could've used barock or literally any other style but he choose ROMANTIC POETRY. #weltyang #voidarchives #honkaiimpact3rd #HonkaiStarRail #voidwelt
