@reshgala__: My favorite fruit - tastes sweet & juicy like a tropical berry, but it’s actually a tomato!! If you’ve never grown ground cherries before, where have you been? Honestly, if I could grow just one thing in my garden forever, it would probably be this delicious fruit! My favorite variety is called Aunty Molly’s Ground Cherry. I grow it in soil blocks every year and transplant into the garden after my last frost date. It’s a super prolific, short and bushy plant (grows only 2’ to 3’ tall). You’ll know when ground cherries are ripe and ready to eat when the husk turns yellowish brown and fruit falls to the ground (hence the name ground cherry). Collect them from the ground, peel off outer husk and enjoy this tasty fruit! #groundcherry #fruit #tomato #gardening #vegetablegarden #DIY
