@oceanx: Our submersibles descend into waters where sunlight doesn't reach. Off the northern Sulawesi seamount chain, our media sub descended into uncharted waters of the Indonesian EEZ, one of the least documented deep-sea regions in the world. Feather stars anchored to the seafloor, red shrimp drifting through the water column, and creatures that have likely never been filmed before. Each encounter tells us more about who lives here, how they survive, and how these ecosystems function. Ocean protection begins by understanding habitat, mapping biodiversity and building the baseline researchers need to manage these marine resources.
