Millenial here. Wendys twitter shenanigans worked because it was different here the same. Left is different and better at getting my attention. On the right looks like every other billboard for cars ever. Also if the specific model depicted does not interest me at all, I will dismiss the right one in less than a second. Like: Car dealer, eww that model... in less than a second. Left: At least going to check it out for the lols.

The red is a very vibrant colour so like yellow you eyes will look at it nearly immediately unlike blues and greys that is very easy for the brain to write off as nothing while unnatural or bright colours will catch the eye and get the average person to give more attention to the billboard

The Gen Z one make me would buy the car, without having driving license or money. It looks funny enough. Billboards with boring long ahh texts aren't even worth reading
