They recorded men dancing using motion-capture technology, transformed them into faceless 3D avatars, and asked women to rate the movements alone. The highest-rated dancers weren’t necessarily the most skilled. They simply moved with more confidence, using bigger, more varied movements through the head, neck, torso and knees.
