@aidanwharton: 🤌🏼Look, if I'm being honest, there was a pretty long period of time when I hid my limp wrists. 🐣 In middle school, my classmates whispered that I was gay before was ready to face hakis myself and being a chubby, exuberant kid in Hawaii doesn't make you a ton of friends easily. 🏀 I mostly spent my free time with the girls and yet desperately wanted to fit in with the boys. Over time I hid my limp wrists and learned to like basketball, even though I was terrible at it. 💔 I tried to date girls, with minimal success, and even once I came out, I still felt constrained by masculinity, worrying that any signs of difference wouldrisolate me evermore than just being gay. 🏳️‍🌈 It's been a long journey, and one that's still in process, but I look back on this little picture and smile. 💍 And I'm so grateful that I've found a husband who understands and accepts all sides of me, because that little Aidan is still there, just as exuberant and full of life, it just took him awhile to come out again. ❤️
