It's 1028 pm. My husband is in bed. I'm dying my hair and painting my toes about to make a cup of coffee. In MY defense I do work 3pm-330 am but even off days I'm always up late. And I sleep late.

Yup, my partner of 8 years wakes up at 2a during the week & I've been a night owl my whole life. During the week, we have about 5 or 6 hours together. It takes work and communication to make it work.

My husband's bedtime is no later than 9pm except for UFC fight night. and he struggles to stay up for that. While I'm over here wide awake after 7pm. I stayed up for 24 hours yesterday and went to bed at 8pm and was up by 1am 😂

My partner is the best. He comes in and turns on the fan, tucks me in, kisses my forehead and plays video games til 2 AM. I get up in the AM and make his coffee and breakfast while drinking my coffee in a quiet house. Typing this out, it could just be that we're introverts...😂

I go to bed 2-3 hours before my husband. I love it. I get to fall asleep on my terms and wake up to a quiet house by myself. Last night WITHOUT TELLING ME he said "I'm going to bed. I have a really early east coast meeting tomorrow morning." NOOOO! I'M JUST A BABY! I CAN'T TURN OFF ALL THE LIGHTS AND START THE DISHWASHER! 😭 I ran to the bathroom to brush my teeth and get in bed before him.
