@trtafrika: Senegal's ousted Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko has withdrawn the Pastef party, which he leads, from President Bassirou Diomaye Faye's government amid deepening tensions with the president. What happens next now that President Faye himself is a member of the party? #africantiktok

I think it's a strategy from the two friends...

Wasn't he elected Speaker?

They were never rivals

BLESSING :

President Faye should quit the party immediately and form his own party that will back him in 2029 general elections, if he stays he is most likely to loose the presidency to Sonko.

Hay Farmer Kipyegen 🪛 :

Let Senegal make Sonko President. 🤔🤔🤔

It was marriage of convenience…on rocky grounds!…the senior became the junior not out of his goodwill!!

Linda A :

looks like Sonko used Faye to get power. he knew Faye will appoint him so he scraps the law that prevented him from being president. Sonko knew the parliament members were loyal to himself and not the president.

MuDa-Zambia :

this is ideal separation of power which most countries dont have
