@toniospeakss: Rest in peace Cyrus belton In May 2023, 14-year-old Cyrus Carmack-Belton was fatally shot in Columbia after a confrontation at a convenience store. Authorities said the store owner, Rick Chow, wrongly believed Cyrus had shoplifted bottles of water. Investigators later stated they found no evidence that Cyrus stole anything. According to the sheriff's office, Chow and his son pursued Cyrus after he left the store. During the chase, Cyrus was shot in the back and died from his injuries. Chow was arrested and charged with murder. In 2026 he was freed, and found not guilty
