Originally developed in Wales as a cattle herding breed, Corgis would nip at the heels of livestock and then duck out of the way to avoid being kicked. In fact, their short legs were actually an advantage for the job. That’s why even today you’ll often find Corgis that are confident, intelligent and full of personality. People see the cute face and small size and assume they’re an easy breed… But underneath that fluffy exterior is a true working dog that thrives on structure, training and having a job to do.
