Yes this will strip the glass of everything but if you don’t put a hydrophobic like a rainx on after you will be worse off than you were to start.

Park your car in a shaded area and make sure your windshield isn’t too hot or wake up early before there is too much direct sunlight on your windshield. Use 2 small hand towels and 70% isopropyl alcohol. Dampen one towel with the alcohol and wipe the inside of your windshield and then follow with the dry towel. Do it a few times. It will get the film off.

I use chemical guys hydro wax you can apply it to glass, lasts for a full year
