@nicolefromdallas: YOU WILL NOT RUN LONGER OR GET FASTER IF YOU RUN HARD EVERY SINGLE DAY. You need RECOVERY days (I had to learn that the hard way) Your body does not get stronger during the run. It gets stronger when it recovers. I’ve been using the Grooves App (A Daily Wellness Coach + Habit tracking) and I’ve been tracking these things: SLEEP : If you want to run longer without getting tired: 💤 Sleep: Get 7–9 hours Your body repairs muscles and restores energy while you sleep. Less sleep = slower recovery and lower performance. 💧 WATER : Stay hydrated every day Even small amounts of dehydration can make running feel harder and make you fatigue faster. 🥩 PROTEIN : Get enough protein daily (around 1.2–2.0g per kg of body weight if you train regularly) Protein helps rebuild muscles so your body adapts to training. 🧘 MOBILITY + STRETCHING : 5–10 minutes before or after runs Helps reduce stiffness and keeps your body moving well so you can stay consistent. 🏃 EASY RUNS : Keep most runs easy Easy runs build endurance and train your body to use oxygen more efficiently. 🛌 RECOVERY DAYS: Take recovery seriously Recovery days reduce fatigue, help prevent injuries, and let your body come back stronger. This is why I use and love the Grooves App. Running farther isn’t about guessing. Track sleep + water + protein + recovery + training and you’ll start seeing patterns.
