@3dforscience.com: How do you show a therapy designed to cross one of the body's most challenging barriers? In our work for PREDICTION BIOSCIENCES, we explored frontotemporal dementia (#FTD), a brain disease that slowly damages the frontal and temporal regions. It is linked to genetic mutations that lead to abnormal protein build-up and the gradual loss of connections between neurons. Over time, this affects behavior, language, and decision-making. To tell this story, we animated the journey of bioengineered exosomes designed to cross the blood-brain barrier and deliver therapeutic cargo directly to targeted brain cells. The result is a clear visual narrative showing how this approach could help protect or restore brain function in #FTD, and may also have potential in other conditions such as #ALS, #Parkinson’s disease, and #stroke. At @3dforscience.com, we turn complex neuroscience into visual stories that researchers, clinicians, and stakeholders can understand and remember. #MedicalAnimation #Neuroscience #Dementia #FrontotemporalDementia #Exosomes #NeurodegenerativeDisease #ScientificCommunication #medcomms
