If I go on Amazon, I am not forced into some kind of chat bot. So they probably used AI to like make search and recommendations better which yeah will make them money. Like I don’t like Amazon as a corporation they are evil but they keep things simple. Chrome and my iPhone broke a ton of UI to just put “use AI” buttons that don’t work / seem to have any other use other than making it slightly harder to get to the button I had originally planned to use 😅

I’ve been hearing that this may not be a total loss for companies as they can just hire desperate employees who will work for a fraction of what they were paid before ai. Thoughts? It doesn’t sound outside of the realm of possibility.

It’s why OpenAI and Anthropic are rushing to IPO, they need to go public to give investors a way to cash out before the bubble bursts. So much is going to be lost because AI has been overhyped and over invested in.

It’s all a Ponzi scheme business. Look at spaceX. majority of its income comes from a starlink, a satellite dish for internet. The company goes public because it’s Haemorrhaging funds from rockets.
