It really doesn’t come through how much he HATES Sejanus

I JUST finished reading. I closed my book and said “This MF is CRAZYYYY” 😭😭 I’m so upset that I didn’t read before watching.

We needed a joe Goldberg monologue in the background tbh

And that’s why people were saying they didn’t see the red flags in Snow until the end. Like if you read the book, the red flags are in the first chapter

Movie should've had his inner monologue. So much of the point is missed without it

That’s why so many of us were like “hey let’s not romanticize him. Please and thank you”😭

you can see it in Tom Blyth's face if you watch him. You can see him roll his eyes and make faces at the covey and watch him judge people.

his narcissism/paranoia wasn’t shown in the movie. it’s SO much more obvious in the book

you don't know how insanely evil he is if you don't read the book. his internal monologue changes the entire vibe

When he's being questioned after Sejanus's execution and being all coy and then it says "Coriolanus was beginning to enjoy himself." 😭😭😭

I think tom blyth did really well but the movie suffered from the lack of internal dialogue because that’s how you really learn to hate snow in the book

it should be illegal to make a movie about someone who’s actions don’t reflect their thoughts without a voice over or SOMETHING

I feel like everyone misses the point that society and the games change people. His inner monologue shows that change.

I actually think you should watch the movie first. You get the propaganda version then you read the book and get the truth. Almost like deconstruction in real time.

Everybody likes tbosas least out the movies and I kinda get it but you genuinely HAVE to read the book to understand the movie. The book is so in depth and like more about inner monologue which is hard to reflect in a movie since the book really is just stuck in snows brain. I read the book first and saw the movie w my mum and we had entirely different opinions because she didn't read the book; i quite like tbosas movie tbh but i think it was because I read the book first

The book is INSANE. Snow’s inner thought made me pause and put the book away a few times.

Hot take alert ‼️🚨, the movie is better. Us not knowing his every thought makes the message land harder cause we DO almost fall for his act

Hot take but I appreciated watching the hunger games + tbosas before reading the books bc so many people didnt like the movies due to all the missing detail but I loved the movies then got to add so much more when I read the books
