People saying this is the worst LA has ever been are either very young, not from here, or full of shit. There was a huge gang/crime problem throughout LA in the 90s. No one hung out in dtla until staples center was built and it still took a decade after that to see the progress there. And there’s always been homeless people in Venice and Santa Monica.

Proof many people don’t know how govt works. The city controller manages the budget and policy implementation. The mayor is a figure head and holds voting power on the council. They guide policy but don’t implement it.

newsom HATES homeless people and so does bass. bass was voted in as a placeholder because she was actually a little bit worse than the previous mayor but we tried the long game. then we got nithya and said "nah lets keep the useless woman in power" I'm actually beside myself with how California voted today. first day in my entire life I hate this state
