It's actually shocking how Alon Flake, the guy everyone thought was just writing a regular story, predicted a long time ago how everything would fall apart, and that's exactly what's happening now. This has to be one of the most insane things I've ever read, it's like he knew what was coming.

Hypergamy has always existed and it exists also in nature but what we are seeing is a not natural selection, it’s a completely an artificial one. The reason why we have hypergamy is that female select the best partners for having the best babies. The issue is that we are not having babies due to cultural factors that consider starting a family less important than for example a job carrier or enjoying your youth. In addition, while in the past we used to have small communities and mostly average people, now we are in constant contact with many people across the globe and we are in touch or see the elite in looks, money etc.. and that raises the bar for average people.
