As someone who’s dated from every continent (minus Australia and Antarctica) I’ve always noticed these differences and why I as an American connect better with some cultures than others. Latin Americans are definitely what we would call flowery or yeah poetic even in conflict which I find a little irritating but it makes them fun and eccentric. While my ex from Poland felt arrogant in his non chalantness or stoicness. It felt arrogant but I know it wasn’t intentional. While my ex from South Africa was very straight forward, blunt, and bold almost to the point of impoliteness especially here in the south. And my ex from Vietnam avoided conflict completely and became passive

High context cultures v low context cultures. I come from a high context culture and I really struggle because I miss about 50% of the social queues because they’re not direct
