When I played persona 4 I was expecting him to be some like crazy genius pulling all the strings with some sad backstory that would make you feel bad for him. But he was actually just a loser😭😭😭

teenager who was manipulated by a government official and his own father which he sought the approval of leading to him being an assassin who doesn't even see the result of his actions vs literal pedo (don't care about Japanese laws he was after a high-school girl) who turned a man into a serial killer because he was bored. ONLY thing I like about adachi is how he was a parallel to narukami

Adachi fucking sucks, but I think that’s what makes him interesting. Like his writing is def overhyped and he’s literally just an incel, but the fairly realistic take on the antagonist is genuinely pretty interesting. Like i think p4 has the most human feeling cast, so finding out the culprit is your average creep works because it’s so horrifyingly realistic! (just my opinion tho, fiction is subjective)

I think a lot of yall gotta stop scaling how ‘bad’ they are and look at the writing as well. People like other characters that’s are incels, pdfiles, incels, etc and saying that feels more like a no brainer rather than you explaining why exactly you dislike Adachi. Most people already know that information and that’s not really gonna change their opinion 😭. Thats my only criticism, I’ve loved Akechi since 2017.

Adachi is a misogynist, an incel, a mad hypocrite. He is a truly unlikeable character with no redemption for his actions. He's everything I hate in real life, yet his experience in life aligns with mine, I agree with how he views life (the real world being a dull and annoying place, where only the "talented" and chosen few are the lucky ones to live their life fully. How unfair the world is to the majority.) and thats why I am a fan of this character. I like his perspective on people and how different it is from mine. I also really like his character design and how he ended up being the most unlikely suspect with such different values. That's my take on why I am a fan of him.
