Hell no Cloe - I worked at a daycare for three years and I was constantly counting heads like non stop. I’m so sorry this happened! Praying you find trustworthy childcare! ❤️❤️❤️

I’ll never forget when Z was at HT and I had to jerk her out because the worker(s) in her room let her sit in a poop diaper for like 6 hours and her skin started to break down. The director did the exact same thing and gaslit me into saying there’s no way that could have happened there.

I hate how common it is to have negative daycare experiences. We had one too, and the clearest sign was Walker’s behavior changing at drop off and pickup. The teachers and admin were not forthcoming, and when I voiced my concern to admin, it was brushed off multiple times. We pulled him out and he stayed home with me for 5 months 😅 until we got him into a MUCH better place. Hang in there!!

As someone who has worked at a childcare facility, even 15 minutes going by not knowing where each individual child is, is too much. You definitely made the right choice

I don’t think you are over reacting at all, you should contact licensing and CPS. It’s neglect and they will sweep it under the rug. I know daycare workers are typically underpaid BUT they can not do things like this. He could have been hurt or taken. I am so sorry you’re experiencing this

Day care workers are * typically* under paid and improperly trained. Not all of them- but most i've worked in. Its sad

I hate you had to go through this! I had a very similar situation in Blacksburg where they left my 1year old outside during playtime. You are definitely not overreacting. My situation they also tried to act like I was overreacting.
