I think the parent dealing with the issue can try a new method to handle it. I would have told my spouse though since they pick her up.

I did the same. I explained options to my daughter she made an informed decision. I explained to the teacher and supplied a toiletry bag and clothing for my daughter to get ready when she decided to. We never had an issue again 🤷♀️

I’m on dad’s side here; the one impromptu pyjama day is like a rite of passage for little kids. Right up there with “Okay, if you’re refusing to go to bed, then you can stay up all night long — but you still have school in the morning”

I would hundred percent back the Dad on this one. It reminds me when I was a child and I wouldn’t go to bed so my dad let me stay up all night and then when I fell asleep early hours in the morning he still got me up for school and I was very tired at school and I never did it again.

Back up. Try moving her bedtime to an hour earlier. It helps. And Mom- take a seat.

The Dad was correct and has every right to solve a situation with his kid at hand!

Cool. Any day you cause an issue, you lose an hour of screen time in the afternoon.

giving your child natural consequences to their actions is actually the best way to teach them. dont wanna change? pj's. wanna stay up way too late? youre still going to school no matter how tired you are. etc
