The person that bought one of our storage units when I was a kid (it happened several times) was nice enough to give our pictures back. They kept the albums and frames, though.

That’s the reason I stopped buying storage units, I found it difficult to throw away people’s memories, I spent time and resources trying to get these important memories to relatives that didn’t want them, Photos, Letters written during W2 things held as long as possible before they died, It’s a responsibility I didn’t want or feel.

I manage a storage facility, and I will do everything in power to help people not lose their items. I reach out on social media, text, calls, emails. I also will let them do settlements and take their items for less than they owe. Most of the time people are too scared to communicate and they lose their items because of it. I hate auctioning units.
