that part about doing it for himself hits home, I started my journey to get her back but transitioned into honest self improvement. when she seen it things started shifting.

The first thing you said resonated a lot with me. When the loml broke up with me, one of the things she said was “I need you to heal and get better. Not for me, not for us, but for yourself” although she didn’t mean “do this and we’ll get back together”, she was actually breaking up with me at the time. I wonder if she came across some videos that talked about breaking up and what the partners should do during a break up in order to come back stronger. She did mention she did her own lil “research” on break ups before she pulled the trigger. But idk, maybe she just didn’t wanna promise me something in case I didn’t follow through?

My girlfriend js asked for space, she said she wants to reconnect at the end of this month. We don’t live together or anything so how can she see that my personal growth because i want it not just because of her? I don’t want to keep reaching out, i’ve been urging and ended up texting her that ik we’re giving each other space but im still here as her bf. We set some boundaries which might sound weird, we want to still see eachother as bf/gf and keep that label, no other people in our lives, and like no removing of social media posts or anything like that either.

How did you get past the worry that things wouldn’t last and old patterns would reemerge? I’ve tried leaving before and thought things were changed but they weren’t. This time he actually is at an inpatient program for his ptsd and learning so much about capacity and understanding feelings so I have some hope but still so worried and scared to take him back when I thought I was 100% done

I have a question that I would really appreciate an asnwer to because It would really make me feel better understanding more the whole thing. Is it a good sign if the other person still maintains light contact everyday when they are burned out? For example like a little tiktok or another and good morningg text?

If you’re interested in psychology and influence, you should look into The Forbidden Codex of Influence by Julian Voss. Some of the concepts in there are honestly mind blowing.

My husband or soon to be ex husband would have to realize what part he has played in the breakdown of the marriage instead of continuing to tell me it’s all me… I’m not the one that has been aging out with a female behind his back for years
