@teaseats: ✨NEW FREE ART EXHIBIT AT A DEFUNCT 1950s DINER IN LA✨ This new art exhibit is a love letter to the local restaurants of Los Angeles, and it’s inside one of the city’s most famous abandoned buildings. Googie architecture icon Johnie’s Coffee Shop has been everything from a film star to a base for activists, but it’s stood empty for 26 years — that is, until now. For the next few weeks, it’ll be open to the public as the home of Off the Menu by artist Gary Baseman, where you can explore roughly 40 drawings on the menus of beloved restaurants from around the city. As a foodie myself, I had so much fun finding all my favorite spots, and I would highly recommend stopping by. Here’s everything you need to know: 📍Off the Menu @ Johnie’s Coffee Shop: 5757 Wilshire Blvd Ste 102, Los Angeles, CA 90036 🎟️ Not needed, entry is free 🗓️ Open Thursday-Sunday 12-7pm through June 14th, though hours are subject to change (check garybaseman.com for the most recent updates) Send this to someone you wanna go with, and follow me for more LA restaurant reviews, recommendations, and things to do! @Gary Baseman #losangeles #lafoodie #thingstodoinla #museum #art
