It’s only more expensive because of our energy costs and the fact that we pay people a living wage. If the government tightened its belt and cut these ridiculous programs and foreign aid they could put that money into subsidising energy and wages to make it affordable to refine oil here. Concentrate efforts on energy production and reduce the cost. That will open up everything. Also stop the supermarkets price gouging.
