One of the worts ever Airline and the Must old and cheapest Planes in the World I had a flight back in 2005 from Islamabad to London. in way close to Istanbul one of the Engine Start Misfiring and inside of cabin was full off smoke and all Plane was shaking and had a Emergency landing in Istanbul . The must Engine parts and wings parts plus one of tyre was also missing I will never ever fly with PIA

That's the bummer about radar: it's a line of sight detector, cannot see through rocks or any other obstruction, therefore not practical in mountainous terrain.

This plane crashed close to my house and they built a park called PIA memorial park in Lele Lalitpur honoring air crash victims but I think it is closed now .

I’m guessing the planes weren’t equipped with collision warning systems back then either.. this was such a dangerous era to fly and it seems it was very cloudy and visibility was very poor that day
