my grandma made fried pies or as she called them hand pies she used the kind of pie filling that came in a can she fried them in some crisco

I'm so emotional right now. We used to go apple picking every Fall in Michigan and my granny would make all types of apple desserts including this. The last time she was able to go was Fall of 1999. I remember watching Sabrina the cartoon and being excited from the smell of the apples, sugar and cinnamon fill the house.🥺 I want my old life back.
