True, I think garden gloves for the most part are pretty worthless, thick leather gloves I would recommend for anything with thorns however.

I buy gloves. I use them…. Sometimes lol I have small hands and finding small sized gardening gloves are a pain. Plus. Hasn’t it been proven that touching the dirt helps with stress? I need that help lol

I really only put on gloves when I’m dealing with something spiky, like my dragonfruit or zucchini plants. Those damn zucchinis get me every time idk how😭

I wear gloves when pulling weeds or dealing with fertilizers and compost. I wear gloves when handling spiky stuff. I am very injury prone so I also wear gloves when doing things that can cause small cuts. I guess I kinda do wear gloves for most of my gardening and yard work.

There are so many centipedes in my garden beds, so if I’m digging in the soil, I’m 100% wearing gloves. Everything else I either do bare handed or wear disposable gloves.

sometimes i use them if I'm pulling a lot of weeds, only because I have some unfriendly ones that irritate my skin. but that's the only time i wear them. I don't wear them if I'm just pruning or planting, or light weeding.
