@audreyabrothers: being more anxiously attached isn’t a life sentence, but it isn’t something you’re going to heal through more reassurance, more validation, more communication, or more information. it’s something that gets healed through more regulation and inner safety. that’s why, even when you do get that reassurance you’re looking for, it never feels like enough. a part of you always craves more. you have to work building your capacity to tolerate more uncertainty so that you don’t spiral every single time there is a sliver of ambiguity. uncertainty is normal, and it’s not something that can eliminated… but how you handle uncertainty can be recalibrated, and that’s where the real work is.
