There’s never any reason why anyone should refill AC system The AC system is just like a brake system. It is a sealed system. If you have to refill it you have a leak somewhere so you’re just putting a Band-Aid on a bigger issue.

Or fix the leak and issue. You don’t just lose refrigerant. They are pressurized lines. If you are empty and have warm ac, there’s a reason. lol

Very safe to use all you gotta do is use the gauge that comes with each and every bottle once it’s in the green you’re done stop right there and you can go to the upper end of the green. Definitely do not go past the green as it measures the pressure so you cannot overfill and you have to fill it from the low pressure side it will only fit on the low pressure

Not a car guy but I learned from the comments that R134a isn't the issue. Overfilling it is. A/C systems are designed for a specific amount of refrigerant, not 'as much as fits.' Too much can increase pressure, reduce cooling, and potentially damage the compressor. If it's overcharged, the excess has to be recovered and the system recharged to the correct amount.
