I think people aren't understanding that the game was called untill dawn not because of the area the game was set in and the cast but because the premise was that they had to survive until dawn, that opens up so many possibilities for this game as they can focus on different folk lores or legends around the world as the horror factor and the point will still be to survive until dawn. there can never be a until dawn 2 with the same cast and area as the first one, they defeated their evil , we banished it at the end of the game , that area is now safe it would be a shit game if they used that place again, there would be no horror too it.

For everyone saying "Why did they name it Until dawn2!". Same universe, the therapist is there and the whole concept is surviving until dawn. There are a lot of games done like that, the first games story was finished and maybe we will see Sam because of the end in the first game

I'm going to be mad if it doesn't connect to the first game. But I think Sam will be in the second game. We got a whole new ending about Sam and her home screen shows her at a beach. Which could have been a hint to her being in this new game!

As much as I hate to say it, anyone saying things like that carrying the same name without having the same characters is bad. You've likely never played any games. Persona, Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, GTA, Dark Pictures, Far Cry, and maybe if you look hard enough, Resident Evil are all anthologies* that share the same name with multiple versions.
