God of War is the franchises title. Kratos hasn’t even been the God of War since 2005 (before Valhalla came out anyway). On top of the fact no one complained about the Sons of Sparta game, which takes place before Kratos was even a god at all. This game also has Faye battling other Gods of War (from my understanding anyway). That’s why it’s called God of War Laufey. The title of God of War is for marketing, continuity, brand recognition, and relates to the games content. The add on of Laufey is to convey you will be playing as Laufey, idk how no one seems to understand this.

Don't get why fans are not more hyped for this...atp I'd say it's impossible that Kratos or Atreus won't show up or get involved at some point, and regardless of they do, the implications are insane since if this is the afterlife of the Gods, Faye's in-laws which is what the whole Geek pantheon from the previous games? CAN be here...this is literally insane
