Stress is a trigger. Just got back some abnormal blood tests. Went down a rabbit hole to see what they might mean. I was depressed, got in the car and drove to Dairy Queen for a hot fudge sundae with extra hot fudge. 😬

Something that sometimes breaks my craving is I make a deal with myself that I have to do 15 minutes of exercise before I can have the treat. After the exercise, I often am over the craving.

I approached it like an addiction. And I think my brain response to me eating sugar justifies that. So, it was cold turkey for me, and it was a struggle for a few years. No artificial of other sweeteners, I needed to stop. Just like anything else, I could fall back into it tomorrow.
