WE NEED US. Our word for Pride is UNITY. Not unity that ignores harm. Not unity that asks people to stay silent for the sake of comfort. Not unity that pretends division is not real. Unity that names what has happened. Unity that repairs what has been broken. Unity that protects those most impacted. Unity that breaks free from expected norms and pushes us to confront the internal shackles that limit us. This is unity that liberates us. Unity that expands what we believe is possible.
