I AM IN NEED OF HELP GIRL!!! i’m trying to find a good but affordable food routine for my almost one year-old in August cat, I’ve been feeding tiki baby wet food and their dry food but now that he’s getting older, I’m not sure what I should do because he’s gaining weight. We do have automatic feeder, but I’m not sure how to go about it now that he’s older.

My cat will eat a little bit of his wet food and then stop. I was worried he wasn’t getting enough nutrients, so I gave him some dry food and he ate it right away. What’s confusing is that he did the opposite one day. He barely ate his dry food, so I gave him wet food and he ate all of it. I’ve been transitioning him from dry food to wet food over the past couple of weeks. I thought maybe I was adding too much water to the wet food, so I made a new batch with less water, but he still didn’t want it. He normally gets dry food from an automatic feeder, but I stopped using it since I’m trying to feed more wet food. He’s still on the same feeding schedule, but the feeder doesn’t go off anymore. I’m wondering if the feeder sound or routine could be part of it because he always used to run to it and eat right away. I also warm up his wet food, and sometimes it gets cold after a few minutes. Could that be affecting it? He’s always loved wet food and usually eats it immediately, so I’m really confused about why he’s suddenly doing this. He otherwise seems completely normal.

I tried to switch from clay to something like this and my cat walked around screaming until I switched it back to clay 🙄 I don’t think she likes change lol

I have 4 cats & the tidy cat breeze system has worked wonders for us. I just wish they had some stainless steel boxes. We were using okocat original which I loved but the tracking was awful once we moved into a carpet free house.

I may have to try that. I currently use the “dust free” Worlds Best and there’s still dust and I’m always sweeping after my cats.
