The difference is forgiving student loans uses tax payers money so everyone else is paying your student loans so I see why people are opposed. That being said our tax dollars don’t go to much that actually benefits us anyway so might as well forgive student loans

I'm not for blanket student loan forgiveness. Too many people make the worst decisions post high school like picking out of state schools, not applying for scholarships, signing loan agreements without reading the interest rates. Like you can't be surprised why your loans are so high, but I think people who genuinely try their best with what they had deserve to not have the burden of debt.

Also until interest on student loans don’t exist that argument makes no sense. Cause the same people that make that argument will say “well they took the money they should pay it back” but the person took 10k and has to pay back 40k
