I think it’s a phase, the missing your kids. LOL I used to miss mine when school first started but as we both age I’m like I love you now go to school. Mommy needs a min.

I am 41 and have been a mom for 24 yrs. I have 6 kids. I love my kids. When I am not with them, I still think about them. I, however, am not desperate to spend every moment with them and I dont "miss them the second I am not with them". There are moments in life that certainly do make me miss them (First day of school, first sleep over, first day of work, first day they move out, etc.) but I dont know if I really ever believed that it was normal to be that dependent on my child to be who I was as a human. Maybe I am wrong. I guess I did good as a Mom. 4 Adults either still live at home or call me every single day of they dont 🤷♀️

Makes sense to me. Not my experience, but that’s fine. I don’t always miss my kids, for different reasons. I know plenty of moms who have felt this way.
