I cried at a restaurant when I was being bullied at school because I didn’t want to eat anything and when my mum asked I just burst into tears. The staff brought me a chocolate milkshake and a bag of chocolate buttons to try and cheer me up 😭 it was so sweet and I will never forget it

i have NEVER heard of the restaurant providing candles, that's on the customer! (also, don't just bring cakes from outside the restaurant, call them beforehand!)

had a table of 8 walk out as I was bringing the food claiming they'd been waiting an hour. I'd only been on shift 20 minutes. there were EIGHT of them. it was a big busy restaurant with quick turnover.

The part of the story where couple Connect with the young man that look like the son they lost. I can relate to this so much. He lost her oldest during Covid. He was already battling cancer. And I can only imagine when you see someone that reminds you of the child you lost there’s just something special about that. 🥰

A table that has good energy, is selfless and understanding, and just enjoys small conversations that are meaningful to both parties, will totally turn your night around! 😭 I make sure to tell those tables exactly that and how much I appreciate them. An awful table that runs you ragged and is impatient and obviously does not know how a restaurant works, can also make your night awful 😅😅😅 you sound like you did an awesome job being courteous and shout out to that food runner!!!
