This exactly what I learned as I was getting my history degree. A historian has to be careful of putting today’s standards/views on yesterday’s history. You have to put yourself in the mindset of the time you are looking at to totally understand it.

I'm a Pastor's child born in Zimbabwe. Dad studied in Rhode Island and still is a good teacher of the word. My faith was challenged once I moved to Australia but never lost my faith. Now i live in Germany and feel closer to God than ever before. The foundation of understanding both Exe & Eise guided me through times when i was confused and struggling to find a good church. However, ultimately, God has kept me! Thank you and all the bible teachers out there who've guided us through social media. 🙏🏾

I went to an accredited seminary. 🙋🏽♀️I remember when I learned those two words. We used to joke that eisegesis is “what I say, Jesus!” On a serious note, exegetical messages are what I preach. I’m not an entertainer. I’m an educator. I teach what the word says in its context, considering the audience, geographic location, cultural practices, etc. I LOVE IT!

You’re using terms and not explaining them. It would probably be more prudent of you to explain those terms instead of just going into what people are doing with those terms.

Exactly. But first, the scripture must be read completely. Book, chapter and verse. Hopefully a good study bible…accompanied by listening to good teachers. So many good teachers on media.
