probally A/C compressor clutch isn't spining, its the pad mount 3406E A/C compressor with the 2 V-Belts that run the alternator with the A/C off the Crank pulley those a/c Compressor Clutch break and free wheel or seize up about every 2 years if you run 2500 miles to 3000 miles a week,, ypu trucks probally done the same, check the Tensioner Pully, A/C compressor Clutch , check the all with belt off, more than likely not Alternator because you would have low voltage or under charging, wont be big deal Driver you've had days like this or worse hold it together or take a hr or so for urself get a coffee or food then get back at it, you'll see it's pronally not a big and fix it in no no time
