It’s not really a ping thing, a couple patches ago wesker was almost completely unable to hit people vaulting pallets or windows. BHVR fixed that so he could hit vaulting people again, but in classic bhvr fashion really messed it up and now he has an absurd amount of time to hit vaulting survs. To my knowledge it’ll be tuned down next patch, I believe they fixed it on the PTB. Also he grabs you because wesker power doesn’t interrupt animations (this is a big part of the reason you can drop a pallet and still get grabbed by him) so survs vaulting or unhooking he slaps them. It wasn’t always like that tho it was changed a bit after his release, initially he used to grab always. BHVR in their infinite wisdom forgot to code in the slap when the surv is using the new finesse animation and either don’t know how or don’t care to fix it.

Definitely a combination of ping and the jank window vault hitboxes. Until your character is done the animation and through the window completely your hitbox stays behind it and it's even worse for windows with a drop afterwards in my experience lmao

This game favors the killers ping over the survivors so if they have over 100 ping they’ll be able to hit things that shouldn’t connect

Wesker main here. This is a bug caused specifically by the interaction between the perk finesse and weskers power (probably with ping involved). When wesker hits a survivor within a certain time of them vaulting the game registers the hit and has wesker slap the survivor instead of grabbing them. The perk finesse makes you vault so fast that your animation is over before the time frame that determines the hit and so he can grab you through a wall. This combined with high ping in the lobby can make some really weird stuff happen like seen above.

Don’t feel to bad. I have a clip of nemesis teleporting and hitting gen just for the animation to end up with me being carried to a hook outside of rpd. The lag was atrocious

You have to remember that this is a killer sided game. Even bad ping favors the killers. You literally can’t do anything if a killers ping is above 70 sadly

This happens too when you vault off of a high floor. If you’re halfway through your fall, a hit from the killer on the top floor will still hit. This game is so janky lol
