As a fellow acne girl who’s skin semi cleared up with accutane, I would never suggest anyone get on it 😭 still dealing with the side effects a year later

I have been on Accutane 2 times. Honestly It changed my life, and my confidence. The biggest side affect for me was dryness. Super dry lips and nose but aquaphor lip repair saved me, I think it was 100% worth it. By then end I was def over it tho

my mom never let me go on acutane growing up because my brother was on it and now he has permanent dry eyes because of it 😳

I also avoided going on accutane for years because I was scared of the side effects etc.. it seriously changed my life. I had tried EVERYTHING and nothing had worked. There’s a lot of fearmongering. I think there’s a difference between making informed choices and scaring other people away from medicine that might help them…

since you talked about it, not giving unsolicited advice, just sharing my experience! some people do have to do multiple rounds, but your acne reminds me of how mine was! i did 1 round, 10 years ago and it hasn’t come back to that capacity! wishing you luck whatever you choose 💜

Accutane was the best decision I ever made! The only symptom I dealt with was dry lips/skin. I was on it for about 8 months and that was over 7 years ago. I haven’t had a breakout since with the exception of my monthly period pimple😅

Accurate literally changed my life. I tell people that I would do it over and over again because the side effects are 6 months but clear skin can be forever ✨

Acutane helped me but it dried my lips terribly and it also affected my vision so I know use glasses… but it did work, I still have breakouts but not like before (haven’t take that pill in 4 years)

In Aruba/Europe we have roaccutane i went on it, saved my faceeee all acne and scarring gone this was in 2018

I get it girl, I went on accutane a few years ago and it was actually horrible and ended up getting my acne back. I’m now on spironolactone + supplements and that’s what has helped me!
