My grandma called this a four layered dessert. The blueberry layer can be swapped out for just about anything that goes into any dessert and you've got a winner.

about the blueberries, when you make pie filling you add butter at the end for the glossy shine. I'm gonna assume that with canned pie filling they do the same or with some other kind of fat, vegetable shortening, emuslified shortening, or margarine.
