in brazil it’s 20 reais for 500ml, but don’t worry, in the usa and even in brazil 99% of the times the “açaí” we have is like 1% actual açaí and 99% artificial flavors

it is still just capitalism and you should still be outraged at that price, because none of that money is going to those workers. they put themselves in danger, risk their health, and they still only earn a fraction of what is owed them. the hefty pricetag on açai is because capitalism has found a "new" thing, made it trendy, and blew up the price tag for maximum profit.

Saddest part is the people who harvest the açaí are not fairly compensated, açaí is expensive but the cost of the product is not going towards the people who harvest the fruit
