yes it was never going to be completely possible for products with spf but that was not the only thing that changed. the spf difference was expected but the amount of brands/products unavailable was not, the lack of sales/deals was not, and the membership changes were not. all of those things + the option to get products actually popular in korea was oliveyoungs whole appeal. overall the us version feels like a scam, why would anyone want to support a company who has taken away all the things consumers loved when the only things they do sell can easily be bought on countless different sites/other physical stores? i’m sure they would still make money from the physical store while allowing us to shop the global site at the same time but since they just decided to take away the global site it looks like they’ll be losing a lot of customers.

they fumbled the bag so hard. the SPF thing can be forgiven seeing as regulations force their hand there, but no GWPs? no 1+1? limited product selection and random American brands?? and the prices, the original olive young site wasn't the cheapest but it's somehow worse. and the membership points not transferring... honestly, anyone not shopping at stylevana/yesstyle/stylekorean is at a massive disadvantage, best prices and product selections around

Tbh idk how long Olive young USA is gonna last if they don’t change things fast. I for sure am not shopping from them anymore. I’d rather go for independent stores in SoCal or for competing companies

What is most bothersome about the switch isn’t just that we lost access to products we love on Olive Young. It’s that we lost the value, i.e. it’s more expensive for less product. There are also less deals such as the 1+1, lower value coupons, and many of us lost our points with the switch so of course we are disappointed! I’m sure over time it will get better but as it stands now it’s not good.
