for those trying to understand it from a therapy or mental standpoint. it means a mind body split aka dissociation and compartmentalization. your mind went numb to help you function and to prevent being overwhelmed. however, the body still feels the actual stress aka the physical manifestation of chest pain even though you feel eerily calm. always take care of yourself. you are loved, you are enough and those small wins are always a reason to celebrate ❤️

I get a sharp pain in my heart when I get emotionally hurt, it lasts a while. doesnt happen every time but it hurts and it happends mostly when im deeply hurt. you wouldn't know im hurt but I can literally feel a sharp pain IN my heart. its weird

for those of you suppressing your emotions don't do it. I know from experience the more you that the worse it's gonna get. have a mental breakdown. ugly cry it doesn't matter. just let out your emotions because if you dont. eventually your gonna burst at any moment
