HI AUBREY! I also wanted to say that I'm a dialysis nurse, and I've been hearing a lot about peptides. I've read that there is ongoing research in Europe exploring how peptides may help not only in kidney disease but also in many other areas of the body. As a dialysis nurse, I always think about our patients and how kidney disease affects so much more than just the kidneys. It's not only the renin system that becomes dysregulated, but also parathyroid hormone (PTH), phosphorus, calcium, potassium, and the lifelong dietary restrictions they have to follow. I also think about the heavy burden of medications they must take and the high cost of treatments to manage anemia, such as Mircera, erythropoietin, and Venofer. My heart especially goes out to pediatric patients, because it's heartbreaking to see children suffer from chronic kidney disease. I hope we can continue this conversation, and please let me know whenever you do a live session. I'd love to join.
